The Animal Production Department in the Faculty of Veterinary medicine has a poultry unit used for students practicals demonstrations and research work for both the Postgraduate and undergraduates students and also for the individual researchers.
The Unit is currently brooding broiler chicks from Ken chick.
An ongoing online short course training on Postharvest Food Loss and Waste Reduction Towards Sustainable Food Systems from 3-5 th May 2021 attended by Benjamin Kyalo Senior Technologist together with Dr.Everlyne Nawiri and Dr.Chepkirui Naum post graduate students.
