The Vice-Chancellor, University of Nairobi, has appointed Prof. Joyce G. Maina to serve as chairman of the Department of Animal Production with effect from September 2022.
Prof. Maina is an accomplished member of staff with many years of teaching and research experience. This is in addition to supervision of postgraduate students, student mentorship, and outreach services.
2022-2023 INTAKE ONGOING APPLY NOW
On 23rd September, 2022, The Chancellor ,University of Nairobi will confer degree and Diplomas at Taifa Hall. The congregation will be held virtually via www.uonbi.ac.ke/livestream, youtube channel- University of Nairobi, facebook page. Only 200 persons will access the graduation hall. All participants are advised to strictly observe Covid-19 Protocols.

YEAR I UNDERGRADUATES OF THE FOLLOWING FACULTIES:

The application process for the 2022 Krystle Kabare Scholarship is now open. The scholarship will award one Kenyan graduate student with disabilities a full academic scholarship to attend the University of Nairobi in September.
In line with the O3 plus programme implementation, 9 bod students from University of Nairobi and Mount Kenya University have decided to challenge the high altitudes of Mt. Kenya to create awareness on the importance of good health and well-being of young people. 7 of these students are from UoN. The students have gone through rigorous training with the ‘Outdoorer Hiking Academy’ through 6 preparatory hikes to ensure that they have prerequisite resilience to challenge Point Lenana, Mt. Kenya on 14th-17th July, 2022.
The Chief Guest, Associate Vice-Chancellor, Research, Innovation and Enterprise Prof. Margaret Hutchinson unveiled the Priority Agenda for Women Economic Empowerment and rallied the women delegates to take positions of leadership and decision making as well as be part of resource mobilization, distribution and utilization.
The Principal Secretary, State Department for Public Works (SDPW) Mr Solomon Kitungu toured the Faculty of Built Environment and Design for a demonstration of the ceramic toilet (Ngisi Toilet Project) designed and developed by a research team from the Department of Art and Design.
