Climate Smart Agriculture Research and Innovation Support for Dairy Value Chains in Eritrea (CSARIDE) Management visiting UoN.

Dr. Lance O’Brien(CSARIDE Project Coordinator), Kahsay Negash(CSARIDE Project Manager), Prof Woldeamlak Araia- Dean, Hamelmalo Agricultural College visited the University of Nairobi, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine to follow up on the progress of the Eritrea students who are doing various Master program. They Met the Dean, Faculty of Vet Medicine Prof. D. Mande, Dr. R. C Bett(Co-ordinator of Eritrea Students), Prof C. K Gachuiri(Animal Nutrition), Dr. Onono(Chairman Pharmacology, Public Health, and Toxicology Dept).

The Netherlands East African Dairy Partnership (NEADAP) and ProDairy EA Ltd Traning

The Netherlands East African Dairy Partnership (NEADAP) and ProDairy EA Ltd are collaborating to conduct a 5-day Masterclass on #Rumen8 at the Department of Animal Production, University of Nairobi, Upper Kabete campus, Nairobi. The course will run on 5 Saturdays, from March 18 to April 29, 2023. The Rumen8 tool assists farmers and consultants in managing the diets of dairy and beef cattle to improve nutrition, production, and cost-effectiveness.

The University of Nairobi to host student engagement forum with Mr. Bill Gates

The University of Nairobi will host Mr. Bill Gates, the  Microsoft founder and American businessman  on Thursday 17 November 2022 in a town hall student engagement forum. The forum which will take place at the Chandaria Performing Arts Centre within the UoN tower will bring together students drawn from UoN and various African Universities. The engagement will focus on climate change, innovation and food  security as well as innovative tools approaches to bolster efforts to increase food security and climate adaptation suppport across Africa.
