KENET in partnership with mobile network provider Safaricom PLC, has negotiated for an eLearning Discounted Bundles package for use in remote teaching and learning during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The university of Nairobi students and staff are therefore encouraged to apply to supplement the University sponsored SOMA-NA-TELKOM data bundles.
This is a self –sponsored prepaid service where students or staff can purchase Safaricom 10GB/month data bundle at KES 500. The discounted bundles are restricted to accessing educational resources/websites from sources that are whitelisted by the mobile network service providers.
To register and have your safaricom phone number whitelisted to purchase the discounted bundles visit https://registration.kenet.or.ke/registration.
Kindly note that new registrations/submissions to have the phone number whitelisted will take between 7 to 14 days to be enrolled for discounted bundles purchase.
