On 09 July 2019, IBM completed the acquisition of Red Hat. Together, IBM and Red Hat will deliver next-generation hybrid multicloud platform that will be based on open source technologies, such as Linux and Kubernetes. IBM will preserve Red Hat's independence and neutrality and its commitment to open source will remain unchanged.
