In the frame of the ADVALUE project – Advancing Sustainable Agricultural Value Chains through Strengthening Transdisciplinary Skills and Cooperation in East African Doctoral Education, the University of Nairobi organized a one-week physical training event on Sustainable Rangeland Management.
This is a joint development and collaboration of the University of Nairobi, Pwani University, Kilifi, Makerere University, Kampala, Uganda Christian University, and EU partners, Nuertingen-Geislingen University and DITSL Witzenhausen, toward the delivery of PhD training modules, which is a core component of the ADVALUE project.
The participants were guided through various scientific topics, including the Department of Animal Production. They visited the nutrition laboratory to learn about different feed and feeding practices, as well as the poultry unit to explore various techniques taught there.
