Cargill Poultry Training in Kitengela

On July 31, 2024, Cargill International hosted a poultry training event at the Sandalwood Hotel in Kitengela. The training focused on biosecurity measures, brooding practices, and effective housing management for poultry. Participants, including our staff members Mr. Benjamin Kyalo, Mr. Charles Karuku, and Mr. Michael Waweru, among others, gained insights into best practices to enhance poultry health, reduce disease risks, and optimize production. Cargill’s commitment to these principles aligns with the USAID-funded Transformational Farm Output Risk Mitigation (TRANSFORM) project, which aims to improve animal health, strengthen agriculture systems, and enhance global health security. The training brought together industry leaders, including Cargill, to promote responsible antimicrobial use and sustainable poultry production.
