Biopesticides are derivatives of plants, microorganisms and insects. Substances from plants and animals have been used to manage diseases in crops, animals and humans. Reliance on nature to heal nature is a practice for many people around the world. Use of natural products was overtaken by synthetic chemicals due to their efficacy, reliability and quick knockdown effect.

The University of Nairobi will hold its 75th Graduation Ceremony on Friday, 18th September 2026, bringing together graduands, their families, University leadership, faculty, staff, alumni and other guests to celebrate a major academic milestone.

The ceremony will mark the culmination of years of study, hard work and commitment by graduands across various academic programmes. For many, it will be the beginning of a new chapter as they move into the world of work, further studies and other opportunities.
