The Department of Animal Production has continued to run and maintain hatchery unit which has played a very central role in training faculty students pursuing various degree programmes in the field of Animal Sciences.

This year we are privileged to attach all first year Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine, various BSc. Agricultural students and other students from Moi University and Mount Kenya University. The units student get to learn include:-Nutrition Laboratory, Poultry Unit and Rabbitry.

Their area of intererests were on Animal Nutrition, Rabbitry and Poultry Keeping.In company of their 4 teachers and about 98 students who were form 3 and 4 left the department full of knowledge.
