The Department on 30th October 2023, hosted some staff members from the Ministry of Livestock and Fisheries Development (MoLFD), Somaliland, who also attended the Agro conference at the Faculty of Agriculture held between 25th -26th October 2023. The team was exposed to learning and training in Sustainable Agriculture and Livestock systems in Drylands. The visit contributed to the visibility of the department and also created an opportunity to market undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in the department.
The visit provided strategic links and strengthened departmental future collaborations in the African region. The collaboration also supports scientific knowledge sharing from the ongoing research works, support to community outreach, and practical training to the partners.
The teams were under the supervision of Dr. Oscar Koech, a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Land Resource Management & Agricultural Technology
